Logie Wind Farm

A lovely country walk with beautiful views over Moray countryside

Home > Explore > Moray > Logie Wind Farm

Also known as Hill of Glaschyle, this wind farm on the Logie Estate makes a nice circular walk through the Moray countryside.

The paths are gravelled, well-kept and wide. There are some inclines, but if you are on a mountain bike, the hike up these hills are rewarded with a fairly continuous downward exit from the highest point.

There are spectacular views over the Moray Firth, and as you’d expect at a wind farm, sometimes bracing and chilly wind.

It’s 2.4 miles (3km) long if you do the full circuit and there’s plenty of parking at the roadside.

How to get there: Take the A940 out of Forres, signposted for Grantown-on-Spey. After 3 miles (5km), take the junction to the left, signposted for Half Davoch. After about 3 miles, you’ll see the wind farm and the parking space on the left.
