Leisure and retail - Visit Forres

There are several places to enjoy a bit of retail therapy, the high street having the most variety of shops. Forres town centre has good parking options and it’s free.

Here you’ll find a mix of independent shops, some chains, bakeries, butchers, eateries, bars and lots more. Arrange to meet people in the market square, or outside the Falconer Museum. These are pleasant places to sit and take in the atmosphere.

Forres town centre

Forres has a 900-year-old historic high street with small independent shops. At the centre is the impressive Tolbooth and market square. There is free parking on and off the high street.

Logie Steading

A few miles out of Forres, you’ll find Logie Steading, a converted farm building that has been adapted into a thriving and busy retail outlet including a cafe, art gallery, bookstore and lots more.

Brodie Countryfare

A shopping trip wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Brodie Countryfare with a wide range of food, clothing, art, homeware, toys and a large restaurant. Ample on-site parking.

Pop-up shops

Forres Crafters and Findhorn Bay Arts both operate pop-up shops around the market square in the town centre, offering a unique selection of locally-made crafts, artworks, and locally-grown produce.

Phoenix Shop, Findhorn

This Phoenix Shop can be found inside the park at the Findhorn Foundation. The collection of Mind, Body and Spirit books, gifts, alternative foods and medicines is unmatched.

M&C garden centre

On the outskirts of town, you can find this garden centre and coffee shop, which offers a wide range of gifts, clothing, greeting cards, toys, gardening tools and of course plants, flowers and shrubs.,
