A whole host of exciting outdoor activities
Rothiemurchus is an outdoor activity centre with a wide range of things to do.
It is one of Scotland’s leading tourist attractions just outside Aviemore and is right at the heart of the Cairngorms National Park. It is a very well-kept estate with spectacular scenery. There are many well-maintained and signposted paths and trails to explore for all abilities.
The estate has been owned and managed by the Grants for nearly 500 years and has scenery and wildlife in abundance. There is so much to do here all year round.
The lovely little farm shop is stocked with Highland produce and has great selection of breads, cheeses, meats, jams and chutneys as well as locally-produced heather honey (in the autumn) and blossom honey (in the spring).
Home cooked food to eat-in or take home
Tasty home cooking is available using finest ingredients from the estate. It also stocks one of the widest ranges of speciality and free-from ingredients in the area.
The Barn which is a cafe and takeaway is opposite the farm shop offering breakfast, lunches and daily specials. Dogs are welcome in certain parts.
Staff are always on hand to help with a warm welcome and a friendly smile. There is also a gift shop selling lovely unusual gifts and a separate card shop.
