A remote loch off the beaten rack
This remote body of water is only accessible on foot, but it is well worth the walk.
Also known as Romach Loch or the Romach Reservoir, this bosy of water has an earth embankment dam to provide the local drinking water supply. It’s about three miles from Forres and completely surrounded by the woodland of the Newtyle Forest.
There are tracks for walking or cycling through the forest and around the loch.
