The village of Dallas lies just off the banks of the River Lossie, and is a rural area, ten miles from Elgin and eight miles from Forres.
It is a small, rural village with a paved main street, but largely used for farming or forestry. One notable farm is Edinvale, which supplies it’s grass-fed meat through a butcher shop in Forres (Macbeth’s) and a small shop on site (The Wee Shed Shop)
