Usage of photographs (and other content)
Moray Local CIC licences images (and other content) by negotiation. Please contact mail@visitforres.scot if you would like to use any of our pictures. We are keen to promote the area and happy negotiate reasonable prices for use, but we will not tolerate unauthorised use where individuals, businesses or companies lift our photos for their commercial benefit.
Breach of copyright
Anyone found to be using our images or content may be subject to a legal claim for breach of copyright through a solicitor. Unfortunately, this is an increasing problem.
Our images are taken by photographers who have granted us permission to use them on our websites. If they then find them on other websites or online platforms, they are entitled to be compensated for unauthorised use. The best way to avoid this to contact us before using any of our photos or content.
As well as this page, copyright warnings appear on individual pages. We understand that these images are often found on Google. We have done significant work to make these images appear to our audience, however this does not make them freely available for unauthorised use. In fact, Google’s image search function also provides warnings that images may be protected by copyright, and this should be checked before use.
