If you are travelling from outside Scotland, you should be aware that the rules may be different from other countries, including England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
- Groups of up to 6 people from 3 households in your home or theirs – and can stay overnight
- Groups of up to 8 people from 3 households in an indoor public place like a café, pub or restaurant
- Groups of up to 12 people from 12 households outdoors in your garden or a public place
- You can travel anywhere in England, Wales, Northern Ireland, the Isle of Man or the Channel Islands – before you travel you must check the travel rules in those countries.
Please observe the rules. This is vital for your safety, and for our region to stay open and to be able to continue welcoming visitors.

Most non-essential shops and businesses are now open and have restrictions in place to keep people safe.
